The Ministry of Health???s Vector Control Unit will continue its eradication campaign against the Aedes aegypti mosquito when it carries out fogging operations in five parishes next week.

On Monday, December 2, the Unit will be fogging the following areas in St. Andrew: Ermy Bourne Highway, Belleplaine, Lakes, Isolation Road, Bawdens, Savannah Road, Shorey Village and the environs.

The City of Bridgetown will be targetted for fogging on Tuesday, December 3. However, fogging will take place at midnight, outside of regular hours.

Christ Church will be next in line on Wednesday, December 4, when the team visits areas such as Harts Gap, Dayrells Road, St. Matthias, Navy Gardens, Hastings, Rockley, Blue Waters, Garden Nos.1 and 2, Rockley Meadows, Golf Club Road, Worthing and the surrounding districts.

They will then turn their attention to St. Michael on Thursday, December 5, where they will fog Beckles Road, St. Paul???s Avenue, Grant???s Avenue, Field Place, Jessamie Avenue, Culloden Road, Lower Collymore Rock, Lower Bay Street, Dunlow Lane, Bush Hill, Chelsea Road and neighbouring areas.

Fogging for the week will conclude in the parishes of St. James, St. Peter and St. Andrew on Friday, December 6, when the team goes into Lower Carlton with Avenues, Upper Carlton, Sion Hill, Westmoreland, Rock Dundo with Avenues, Black Bess, Rock Hall and the environs.

The Ministry of Health???s fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
