Five parishes have been earmarked for fogging by the Vector Control Unit next week.

The team will start in St. George on Monday, July 8, where Airy Hill, Rowans Park, Glebe, Glebe Land, Walkers, Thorpes Cottage, Francia Road, Flat Rock, Bournes Village, Lower Estate, Parish Land, Charles Row Bridge and the environs will be fogged.

On Tuesday, July 9, they will target the parishes of St. Michael and Christ Church in the following areas: Brittons Cross Road, Scotts Gap, Villa Road, Reece Land, Brittons New Road, Clapham Park, Fordes Road, Wildey, Collymore Rock, Flagstaff, Valerie and neighbouring districts.

The following day, Wednesday, July 10, the Unit will focus on areas in St. James and St. Thomas. They are: Bagatelle Terrace, Hoytes Village, Bamboo Ridge, Kings Village, Dairy Meadows, Hoytes Terrace, Bagatelle Yard, Bennetts, Arch Hall and surrounding areas.

A number of districts in St. Michael will be fogged on Thursday, July 11 Hothersal Turning, Clarkes Road, Lower Estate, Hothersal Terrace, Lears, Jackmans, Skeetes Road, Friendly Hall and the environs.

The team will return to St. Michael on the following day, Friday, July 12, to fog Spooners Hill, Rock Gap, Clarkes Gap, Woodstock Road, Long Gap, Piedmont Park, Pillersdorf, Rockhampton, Denton Road, Grazettes Industrial Park, Grazettes, Derriston Road and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded to protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
