The parishes of St. James and St. Andrew will be the focus of the Vector Control Unit???s mosquito eradication efforts next week.

From Monday, September 9, to Thursday, September 12, the Unit will be focussing solely on areas in St. James. They will start on Monday in Hinds Hill, Wanstead Gardens, Wanstead Drive, Husbands Heights, Ricks Road, Husbands, Husbands Gardens, Independence Drive, Oxnards Heights and the environs.

On Tuesday, September 10, the team will target Upper Halcyon Heights, Halcyon Heights, 1st and 2nd Street Holetown, Jamestown Park, Trents, Westmoreland, Lancaster and surrounding districts for fogging.

The following day, Wednesday, September 11, areas to be fogged will include, Holders Hill, Chapel Road, Clarke???s Road, Appleby Gardens, Risk Road, Fitts Village, Prospect, Crusher Site Road, Walmer Lodge and neighbouring districts.

The Unit will then turn its attention to Seaview, Holetown, Sunset Ridge, Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Cemetery Lane, Molyneaux, Sandy Lane, Vauxhall, Laynes Road, Paynes Bay, Holders Hill, Norwoods and the environs, on Thursday, September 12.

Fogging operations will conclude in a number of districts in St. James and St. Andrew, on Friday, September 13. They are: Orange Hill, Endeavour, Orange Hill Development, Greggs Farm, Turners Hall, White Hill, Hillaby, Church Gap, Harewood Road, Mount Hillaby and surrounding areas.

The Ministry of Health???s fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
