As the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health continues its efforts to rid the island of dengue fever, fogging will be carried out in Christ Church, St. Thomas and St. Michael next week, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.

On Monday, July 15, Kendall Hill Park, Silver Hill Gardens, Silver Hill Housing Area, Smith Terrace, Maxwell Plains, Cane Vale, Montrose and the environs in Christ Church, will be fogged.

The following day, Tuesday, July 16, the Unit will remain in the Christ Church area and spray Sargeant???s Village, Barlett Road, Browne???s Road, Smith Road, Warner???s Gardens, Tino Terrace and its surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, July 17, the Christ Church area will again be the focus when the Vector Control Unit team treats Gall Hill, Silver Hill, Cane Vale Crescent, Hillside, Butler???s Road, Water Street, Montrose and the environs.

On Thursday, July 18, the team will move to St. Thomas and fog Clifton Hill, Walkes Spring, Mount Wilton, Exchange, Proute, Bibby???s Lane and the environs.

The team will also treat the St. Michael neighbourhoods of Brittons Cross Road, Scotts Gap, Villa Road, Reece Land, Brittons New Road, Clapham Park, Fordes Road, Wildey, Collymore Rock, Flagstaff, Valerie and surrounding areas on Friday, July 19.

When fogging operations are in your area, householders are urged to open windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.

However, pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street, and parents should prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.
