Members of the public are advised that the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will be resuming its fogging programme from next week.

The team will begin in Christ Church on Monday, June 10, targeting the areas of

Golf Club Road, Rockley, Rendezvous, Rendezvous Heights, Garden No.1, Garden No. 2, Worthing Main Road, St Lawrence Main Road, Harmony Hall, St. Lawrence Gap and the environs.

Fogging will continue in Christ Church on Tuesday, June 11, but this time in the districts of Rendezvous Ridge, Amity Lodge, Rendezvous Gardens, Fairway Gardens and surrounding areas.

The Unit will return to that parish on Wednesday, June 12, to target the following neighbourhoods:?? Dayrells Road, Golf Club Road, Rockley Meadow, Golf View Terrace, Brownes Gap, Hall Gap, Blue Waters, Marine Gardens, Queens Way, Rockley Terrace, Rockley and the environs.

The parish of St. Michael will be the focus on Thursday, June 13, with the districts of Deighton Road, Kings Village, Bullens Ave, Garrison Road, Paddock Road, Phillips Road, Dayrells Road and the environs being fogged.

The team will return to Christ Church on Friday, June 14, when Silver Sands, Bournes Land No. 1 and No. 2, Ealing Park South, Hopewell – Round Rock, St. Christopher, Walls Road, McClean’s Road and the environs will be fogged.

All fogging runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. and householders are asked to assist in the elimination of the deadly Aedes Aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate.

Pedestrians and motorists should be cautious when encountering the fogging operations on the street. Persons with respiratory problems are asked to protect themselves from inhaling the fog. Parents are advised to prohibit their children from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.??

The public is advised to check the media on a daily basis in order to follow the fogging schedule. Information on the Ministry’s fogging programme can also be obtained by calling the Vector Control Unit, Ministry of Health, Old NIS Building, Fairchild Street at telephone number 417-2150/2158.
