The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will continue its work to eradicate the Aedes aegypti mosquito next week, starting in St. Thomas on Monday, August 21.

On that date, areas to be sprayed are Rock Hall, Rock Hall Freedom Village, Fryer Hill, Rock Hall Development, Content and environs.

On Tuesday, August 22, the team will be in St. Michael fogging Lodge Hill, Lodge Terrace, Lodge Crescent, Emerald Drive, Sapphire Drive, Pearl Drive, Eden Lodge, Middle Lane, Eden Lodge Housing Area, Austin Drive and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, August 23, they will return to St. Thomas to fog Cane Garden, Emerald Drive, Peach Court, Platinum Avenue, Sunflower Drive, Hibiscus Close, Canewood Road, Cane Garden Park and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, August 24, Fitts Village, Risk Road, Vaughn’s Road, Berbice, Piggott Road, Johnson Road, Prospect Road, Prospect, Crusher Site Road, Walmer Lodge and surrounding areas in St. James will be targeted.

And on Friday, August 25, the team will be in St. Peter, spraying Queen’s Street, Archer’s Lane, Bovell Road, Mango Lane, Chapel Street, Gooding Alley, Church Street, Major Walk and environs.

Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter. The fogging exercise runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.
