The Vector Control Unit will continue its fogging programme in the island’s central parishes, next week.

Since Monday, August 2, and Tuesday, August 3, are public holidays, fogging will resume on Wednesday, August 4 in St. George. The areas to be fogged on that date are: Cutting Road, Cutting Development, Parish Land, Airy Hill Road, Evelyn Road and environs.

On Thursday, August 5, the fogging team will visit Salters Link Road, Charles Rowe Bridge, Bell Road, Lower Estate, Price Road, Harry Cox Road and surrounding districts.

The fogging team will then turn its attention to St. Thomas on Friday, August 6. The communities to be sprayed include Welches Terrace, Welches South, Bagatelle Gardens, Redmans Village, Kew Land and Alameda.

The fogging exercise will be carried out between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

Members of the public are reminded that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to affected communities as soon as possible.
