The Vector Control Unit in the Ministry of Health and Wellness will be returning to St. James next week to conduct another fogging exercise, under its mosquito eradication programme.

The areas to be sprayed on Monday, April 19 are: Bagatelle Road, Bagatelle Park, Little Ridge, Hoytes Village Development, St. John The Baptist Drive, 1st and 2nd Avenues Thorpe’s Road, Holders Hill, Thorpe’s Main Road, Denny Road, Thorpe’s Terrace, Halls Village, Halls Village #2, Prior Park Heights, Husbands and environs.

On Tuesday, April 20, the fogging team will visit: Sugar Cane Avenue, West Wood Close, West Wood Drive, Pelican Avenue, Independence Drive, 8th Avenue Husbands, 12th Avenue East Desert Road Ridge, Sugar Cane Avenue West, Independence Close and surrounding areas.

The communities of Cassia Drive, Tulip Drive, Croton Drive, Blue Bell Drive, Independence, Desert Rose Drive, Husbands Heights, Heliconia Drive, Oxnards Heights, Wanstead Heights and immediate areas will be fogged on Wednesday, April 21.

On Thursday, April 22, the focus will be on Wanstead Heights, 1st, 7th, 8th, and 9th Avenue Wanstead, Lily Drive, Rose Drive, Wanstead Gardens, Alamanda Drive, Husbands Heights and the environs.

Then on Friday, April 23, the team will spray Husbands Terrace, Midsummer Drive, Santa Rosa Drive, Westside Close, Catalina Avenue, Azalea Close, Orchid Drive, Husbands Heights, Dracaena Avenue, West Terrace 1-16 Avenues, Oxnards, Cherry Drive, West Terrace Heights and nearby districts.

Fogging will be conducted between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day, and householders are encouraged to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has reminded the public that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond its control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
