The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue its mosquito eradication efforts in the parishes of St. John, Christ Church and St. Michael next week.

On Monday, February 1, the team will carry out their fogging exercise in the following St. John districts: Cheshire, Moores Land, Ashford, and environs.

The next day, Tuesday, February 2, the Unit will remain in St. John, but this time Society, Society Tenantry with avenues, Codrington College, College Land, and surrounding areas will be fogged.

The team will then go into Christ Church on Wednesday, February 3, focusing on Sargeant’s Village, Bartlett Road, Sargeant’s Village Tenantry Road, Browne’s Road, Smith Road, and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, February 4, the fogging team will concentrate on areas in St. Michael, including Nelson Street, Cypress Street, Combermere Street, Beckwith Street, Wellington Street, Vine Street, Queen Street, Jordans Lane, and environs.

The Unit will conclude fogging for the week on Friday, February 5, in other St. Michael districts, such as Eden Lodge, Eden Lodge Housing Area, Sorrel Lane, Middle Lane, Patience Drive, and environs.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

Members of the public are asked to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
