The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue its mosquito eradication efforts next week, focusing on the parishes of St. Michael and Christ Church.

On Monday, January 25, the fogging team will spray Sargeant’s Village, Bartlett Road, Sargeant’s Village Tenantry Road, Browne’s Road, Smith Road, and environs.

The areas to be fogged on Tuesday, January 26, are: Mapp Hill, Lower Burney; Lower Burney Tenantry; Mount Friendship, and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, January 27, the team will move to Howells Cross Road, Tichbourne with Avenues, Rouen Road with Avenues, Neils Tenantry, Belle Gully and environs.

The fogging exercise will continue on Thursday, January 28, at Pine Road, Belleville with Avenues, Belmont Road, George Street, Stevenson Land, Bannister Land, Campaign Land, Martindales Road, and neighbouring districts.

Then, on Friday, January 29, the exercise will be carried out at Halls Road, Marl Hole, Train Line Road, Carrington Village, Alkins Road, Quakers Road, Chase Road, and environs.

Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day.  Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

Meanwhile, the public is asked to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit.  In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the affected communities in the soonest possible time.
