The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will carry out its fogging exercise in the parish of St. James, next week.

On Monday, March 1, the team will target Porters, Trents, Trents Tenantry, Jamestown Park, Greenwich Village, Morgans and environs.

The next day, Tuesday, March 2, they will fog Sunset Crest, Cherry Avenue, Violet Row, Hibiscus Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Cordia Avenue, Flamboyant Avenue, Alamanda Row, Poui Avenue and surrounding districts.

The Unit will focus on Paynes Bay, Laynes Road, Holders Hill, Chapel Road, Clarkes Road, Derricks and neighbouring districts on Wednesday, March 3.

The following day, Thursday, March 4, they will concentrate their efforts on Appleby Gardens, Fitts Village, Risk Road, Vaughns Road, Lashley Road, Berbice, Piggott Road and environs.

The fogging exercise will conclude for the week on Friday, March 5, when the team goes into Jordans Road, Joes Drive, Johnsons Road, Prospect, Crusher Site and surrounding areas.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors so that the spray can enter.

Members of the public are asked to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
