The Vector Control Unit in the Ministry of Health and Wellness will concentrate its mosquito eradication efforts in the parish of St. Michael next week.

On Monday, March 22, the fogging team will be in St. Stephen’s Hill, Bristol Road, Phillips Road, Grazettes, Grazettes Industrial Park, Penbroke Road, Durham Close, Denton Road, Rockhampton Road, Ealing Road, Brecon Road, Rochester Road and environs.

Then on Tuesday, March 22, they will visit Long Gap, Inniss Close, Husbands Land, Piedmont Park, Straker Road, Hope Land, Thompson Gap, and surrounding areas.

The following communities will be fogged on Wednesday, March 24: Rogers Terrace with Avenues, Pillersdorf Development, Grazettes Court with Avenues and environs.

The exercise will move to Grazettes Main Road, Derriston Road, Spooners Hill, Rock Gap, Allamby Gap, Clarkes Gap, Woodstock and surrounding areas on Thursday, March 25.

Then on Friday, March 26, the team will target Black Rock, Washington Avenue, Jones Land, Kellman Land, Brownes Gap, Eagle Hall, Tudor Bridge, Eckstein Village, Fairfield Road, Simmons Land, Parkinson Road, Fairfield Main Road and neighbouring districts.

Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day, and householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the fog to enter.

The Vector Control Unit has also reminded the public that the completion of fogging activities may be affected by events beyond its control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the affected communities in the soonest possible time.
