The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue its fogging exercise next week in St. Michael/St. George and St. Philip.

From Monday to Wednesday, the team will concentrate its efforts in St. Michael/St.George.  On Monday, November 2, the areas to be fogged are First Stop, Ellerton, Ellerton Gardens, Waverly Cot, Middle Lane, Ellerton Housing Area, Glenside, Ellerton Park, Ellerton Heights, Carmichael Heights and environs.

On Tuesday, November 3, fogging continues in Mapp Hill, Haggatt Hall Development, Cutting Road, Pasture Road, Haynes Hill, Monroe Road, Salters Tenantry Road, Plum Tree Road, Sinclair Road, Bird Hill, Coral Drive, Bakers Close, Grace Drive and surrounding areas.   

On Wednesday, November 4, the team will spray Dash Valley with Avenues, Mapp Hill, Hanson Heights, South District and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, November 6, the exercise moves to St. Phillip, where fogging will take place at Blades Hill, Three Houses, Bayfield, Bayfield Road, Breezy Hill, Halton Terrace, Chapel, Church Village and environs.

The team returns to St. Philip on Friday, November 6, to spray Emerald Park East, Emerald Park West, Wellhouse, River Land, Lynches, Lynches Tenantry and surrounding areas.

Fogging takes place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day.  Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter.

The public is asked to note that the completion of the scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to affected communities as soon as possible.
