The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness continues its fogging exercise next week in St. George and St. Philip.

From Monday to Wednesday, the team will concentrate its efforts in St. George. On Monday, October 26, the areas to be fogged are First Stop, Ellerton, Ellerton Gardens, Waverly Cot, Middle Lane, Ellerton Housing Area, Glenside, Ellerton Park, Ellerton Heights, Carmichael Heights and environs.

On Tuesday, October 27, fogging continues in Mapp Hill, Haggatt Hall Development, Cutting Road, Pasture Road, Haynes Hill, Monroe Road, Salters Tenantry Road, Plum Tree Road, Sinclair Road, Bird Hill, Coral Drive, Bakers Close, Grace Drive and surrounding areas.  

On Wednesday, October 28, the team will spray Dash Valley with Avenues, Mapp Hill, Hanson, South District and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, October 29, the exercise moves to St. Phillip, where Blades Hill, Three Houses, Bayfield, Bayfield Road, Breezy Hill, Halton Terrace, Chapel, Church Village and environs will be fogged.

The team returns to St. Philip on Friday, October 30, to spray Emerald Park East, Emerald Park West, Wellhouse, River Land, Lynches, Lynches Tenantry and surrounding areas.

Fogging takes place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

The public is asked to note that the completion of the scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit.  In such circumstances, the Unit will return to affected communities as soon as possible.
