Several communities in the parish of St. James will be sprayed next week, under the Vector Control Unit’s fogging programme.

The exercise will begin on Monday, September 20, at 3rd Avenue Rock Dundo, #2 Bakers Avenue, Park Close, Bakers Rise, South Drive, #2 Bakers Woods, Upper Carlton 1 and 2, Sion Hill Tenantry, Hall Road, Brathwaite Road and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, September 21, the team will spray Lower Carlton 1 to 4, Carlton Link Road, Baird’s Road, Douglin Road, Fox Club Road, Upper Crick Hill, Upper Mount Standfast and environs.

Fogging will take place in The Garden, St. Albans, Rides Road, Husband Road, Prescod Road and neighbouring districts on Wednesday, September 22.

Westmoreland, Store House Road, Patanne Gardens, Mango Drive, Gibb Terrace, Trents Tenantry, Greenwich 1 to 4, and nearby areas will be sprayed on Thursday, September 23.

The communities to be sprayed on Friday, September 24, include: Jamestown Park, First and Second Street, Cherry Avenue, Frangipani Row, Carnation Row, Orchid Row, Oleander Row, Poinsettia Avenue, and Plumbago Avenue. 

Fogging will be conducted from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., each day. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

The public is reminded that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit.  In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
