The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging exercise in several parishes next week in an effort to reduce the Aedes aegypti mosquito population.

On Monday, March 6, areas to be fogged in St. Andrew are Hillaby, Mount Hillaby, Church Gap with Avenues, Harewood Road, White Hill, Mose Bottom, Gregg Farm, Turners Hall and environs.

The team will be in Christ Church on Tuesday, March 7, fogging Rendezvous Hill, Rendezvous Ridge, Rendezvous Gardens, Fairways with Avenues, Amity Lodge, Kendal Hill, Silver Hill, Silver Hill Housing Area, Maxwell Plains and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, March 8, St. Michael will be targeted, specifically Parkinson Field, Field Road, Rock Avenue, Rock Close, Bottom Close, Factory Avenue, Pine East West Boulevard, Regent Hill, Phillips Road, Midway Lane, Newton Crescent, North Wildey Terrace with Avenues and neighbouring districts.

The exercise continues in St. James on Thursday, March 9, in Orange Hill, Hope Road, Deane’s Town, Walcott Gap, Jackman’s Alley, Beckles Gap, Gilkes Village, Baywoods, Apes Hill Development, Orange Hill Development, Endeavour and environs.

Fogging will be carried out between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter.
