As the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health continues its efforts to rid the island of dengue fever, fogging will be carried out in St. Peter, St. Joseph and Christ Church next week, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day, with the exception of Friday, November 30, Independence Day.

On Monday, November 26, Indian Ground, Roebuck, Four Hill, French Village, Mount Brevitor, The Rock, Lonesome Hill and Diamond Corner in St. Peter will be fogged.

The following day, Tuesday, November 27, the Vector Control Unit team will move to St. Joseph to treat Andrews, Andrews Tenantry, Parris Hill, Russia 1st and 2nd Avenues, Russia Gully, Auburn, Blackmans Tenantry and the surrounding areas.??

The Unit will remain in that parish on Wednesday, November?? 28, to spray Horse Hill, Suriname, Vaughn Road 1 and 2, Bonwell, Tourville, Joes River, St. Elizabeth Village, Horton, Tent Bay, Vault Road, Cotton Tower and the environs.

Cox Road, Small Ridge, Frere Pilgrim, South Ridge View Estate, Boarded Hall, Skinner Hill, Newton Park, Wharton Drive, St. David’s, Homestead Drive, Armstrong Drive, Edey Village and other nearby areas in Christ Church will be fogged on Thursday, November 29.????

When fogging operations are in your area, householders are urged to open windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.?? Meanwhile, pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street, and parents should prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.
