The Ministry of Health will continue its efforts to rid the island of dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases through the fogging of a number of districts.

On Monday, October 16, the following districts in St. Philip will be targeted: Lynches, Lynches Tenantry, Casuarina Development, Merricks, East Point, Sealy Hill, St. Catherines and the environs.

The following day, Tuesday, October 17, the team will be in St Peter and will conduct fogging operations in: Reservoir Road, Millionaire Road, Station Hill, Around- the-Town, Golden Mile, Douglas Development, Church Hill Road, Tom Bend Road, Mile-and-a-Quarter and surrounding districts.

The Vector Control Unit will be in St. Andrew on Wednesday, October 18, and will spray: Farmers, Hillaby, Mount Hillaby, Church Gap with Avenues, Gregg Farm, Turners Hall and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, October 19, the team will conduct fogging operations in St. Michael: Pine East-West Boulevard, Regent Hill, Phillips Road, Midway Lane, Newton Crescent, North Wildey Terrace with Avenues and the environs.

The Vector Team returns to St. Michael on Friday, October 20, and will spray: Harmony Hall, Dr. Kerr Land, Greenidge Road, School Road, Springer Gap, Taylor Gap, Brathwaithe Gap, Prescod Bottom and surrounding districts.

The fogging operations run from 4:30 -7:30 p.m. each day and residents are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the fog to penetrate.

Parents are reminded that children should desist from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.
