The Maurice Byer Polyclinic will observe World Health Day next Tuesday with a food safety fair at the polyclinic, Church Hill, St. Peter, beginning at 9.00 a.m.

The event, hosted by the Environmental Health Department, will focus on the theme for World Health Day, From Farm to Plate ??? Keep It Safe.

It is open to the general public as well as key stakeholders including farmers, food handlers and representatives of hotels and supermarkets.??

There will be booths providing information about food safety practices as well as presentations throughout the day.

Presenters include food safety specialist, Leonard King, who will speak on Good Agricultural and Manufacturing Practices; Farm Sanitation Officer, Victor Small, who will discuss Farm Sanitation and Vector Control; and Senior Environmental Health Officer, Ryle Rock, whose topic will be The Health Inspector and You.
