This Sunday, December 2, Kensington Oval will be alive with activity as St. Thomas and the City go head-to-head in an attempt to emerge victorious in the finals of the inaugural David Thompson Memorial Constituency Council Football Classic.
The community-based initiative will kick off with a street parade from Passage Road, St. Michael, beginning at 3:00 p.m. led by the Pathfinders’ band. There will be a procession of stilt men, shaggy bears, folk dancers, the tuk band and members of the teams.
At 4:00 p.m., the St. Michael West team will challenge the players from St. Joseph to secure a third place spot in the tournament. The featured match will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Admission for the event is free, however, interested persons are asked to collect tickets for the Oval from any Constituency Council office, before the event.
