The Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Authority (BMCLA) will host its fourth cultivation event on Wednesday, March 24, from 9:30 a.m.

Entitled Cultivating with a Master Grower, the virtual event is designed specifically for persons who will be applying to the BMCLA for a cultivator licence.

There will be four 45-minute sessions, each targeting a maximum of 10 persons. With these small numbers, it is expected that participants would have the opportunity to get a one-on-one experience with Master Grower, Shlomo Booklin, to ask questions specific to the session and gain an in-depth look at cultivating cannabis in Barbados.

Master Grower Booklin, a recognised expert with over 30 years’ experience in the cannabis business, has worked on numerous large-scale projects, including some of the biggest in the Canadian cannabis industry.

The four sessions will examine: Compliance & Standards; Fertilising & Feeding; Growing Methods and Pest Management & IPM.

The sessions will be held as follows: Compliance & Standards – 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.; Fertilising & Feeding – 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.; Growing Methods – 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. and Pest Management & IPM – 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
