As part of the activities to mark 50 years of universal, free public education, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHR) will host a discussion entitled EduNation Barbados- Let’s Talk Education, at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed, The City, on Friday, October 19.

Students from the fifth and sixth forms as well as tertiary institutions are expected to participate in the forum, which will also be open to members of the public. It will run from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The event will feature ???Youth Perspectives’ from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, a session which will be moderated by Dr. Ivan Henry. This discussion will also be streamed live, and carried during the mid-Morning Mix Programme on CBC radio.

From 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., the session will be open to the general public for a discussion on Education Perspectives.

Fifty years of universal, free education in Barbados (1962-2012) is being celebrated under the theme –Celebrating 50 – Free Education for All.
