The Ministry of Health’s fogging programme will target four parishes across the island next week.

On Monday, October 10, the team from the Vector Control Unit will visit Flag Staff, St. Michael, and the Christ Church districts of Club Morgan, Harts Gap, St. Matthias and the environs.

The following day, Tuesday, October 11, the team will return to that parish and fog Enterprise B, Lowthers Hill, Waverley and the environs.

Wednesday, October 12, will be the turn of St. Lucy residents at Harrison Road, Husbands #1, Broomefield, Sherman’s, Half Moon Fort and the environs.

St. George will be visited on Thursday, October 13, and fogging will be carried out at Francis Road, Walkers Road, Byer Road, Greens, Prerogative and the nearby districts.

Fogging for the week will end on Friday, October 14, with the St. Michael areas of Back Ivy, Tichbourne and the environs.

The fogging machine will be in the districts from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily. Householders are asked to assist by opening their windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while parents have been instructed to forbid their children from playing in the fog or running behind the machine.

Persons with respiratory problems are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while pedestrians and motorists are urged to proceed with caution when encountering the fogging operations on the street.
