Free bait and advice on how to control rodents will be the focus of outreach efforts of the Vector Control Unit, this Saturday, February 9, when the department continues its roving education campaign, this time in St. Philip.

From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Environmental Health Officers and Assistants will be stationed at Dee Country Stop Bar & Restaurant, Kirtons; Country View Bar, Crane; Rackal’s Variety, Long Bay; and De Angels Bar, in Belair.

Persons who live and work in the surrounding areas are urged to come, collect the bait and learn how to use it to control rodents.?? The campaign has been launched in response to an upsurge in Leptospirosis cases and rodent complaints.?? ????

The Health Ministry has reminded persons that free rodent bait is also available from the Vector Control Unit, located at Jemmott’s Lane in St. Michael.??
