Questions about consumer protection, fair competition and utility regulation will all be answered soon when the Fair Trading Commission (FTC) hosts an Open Day at its offices at Green Hill, St. Michael, on Thursday, June 16.

The event, which is part of the FTC’s 10th anniversary celebrations, will see the organisation open its doors to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Information Specialist, Petra Emmanuel, has encouraged the public to use this opportunity to ask FTC officers any burning questions about the role of the FTC and the rights and responsibilities of consumers and businesses.

"We are very excited about this event as the public will be able to come in and speak to Consumer Protection, Utility Regulation and Fair Competition Officers, as well as participate in the activities that we have planned. They will also get a glimpse of the organisation through the years and, in general, interact with us as we celebrate our 10th anniversary."

For further information on the Open Day, contact the FTC at 424-0260.
