The Fair Trading Commission (FTC) is inviting all service providers, businesses, representatives of consumer groups, and other parties interested in the proposed merger of Cable & Wireless Communications Plc and Columbus International Inc. to submit comments on the merits and demerits of this merger.
Comments should be sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Fair Trading Commission, Good Hope, Green Hill, St. Michael, or emailed to info@ftc.gov.bb .
The FTC recently received an application from the telecommunication companies seeking permission to merge the two entities in Barbados. In keeping with Section 20 (7) of the Fair Competition Act, the Commission is assessing the proposed merger transaction.
Interested parties are also invited to participate in a survey on the telecommunications industry at www.ftc.gov.bb. The identities of respondents will not be disclosed.
