The Fair Trading Commission (FTC) will be hosting a workshop to educate senior public sector officials about how to spot and prevent bid-rigging during the tendering process, next week.

The seminar, under the theme Detecting, Mitigating and Fighting Bid- Rigging in Public Procurement, takes place on Wednesday, June 16, at the Savannah Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church, starting at 9:00 a.m. It will be addressed by Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, Dr. David Estwick.

During the session, participants involved in procurement, will be apprised about how to detect when businesses collude to influence the tendering process.????
