The 15th Annual Lecture of the Fair Trading Commission (FTC) will be held on Friday, March 15, at the Hilton Barbados Resort, Needham’s Point, St. Michael. It is being hosted in collaboration with the CARICOM Competition Commission (CCC) and starts at 7:00 p.m.

Entitled Competition Authorities: Keeping Pace with Technology, Commerce and Consumers, it will be delivered by Deputy Chair of the Enforcement Decision Making Committee of the Bank of England, Dr. Philip Marsden.

Dr. Marsden is also a case decision-maker at the Financial Conduct Authority, the Payment Systems Regulator and the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets.

Minister of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Commerce, Dwight Sutherland, will deliver the opening remarks, while FTC’s Chairman, Tammy Bryan, will give welcome remarks. Chairman of the CCC, Justice Christopher Blackman, will also give remarks.
