The Port of Bridgetown resumed operations from today, Monday, April 19, with the reopening of Shed 4 for commercial cargo, and Shed 2 for personal effects.

In a statement issued, the Port also indicated that it would continue to work with vessels and make container deliveries as it did for most of last week.

The statement also indicated that the extensive clean-up of roadways and operational areas were undertaken, and efforts would continue to mitigate against the ongoing impacts of volcanic ash.

In addition, the monitoring of environmental conditions will also continue to ensure the operational spaces are safe and pose no health risks.

While it is prepared to welcome customers, the management of the Port of Bridgetown is reminding persons that entry for cargo delivery continues to be by appointment only.
