Plans for the Ministry of Tourism’s Bajan Pride Expo, which will be held next Saturday, March 19, in Jubilee Gardens, have been moving full speed ahead.

The event will feature a variety of attractions, including food demonstrations, a live band, artwork, wood craft and jewellery, along with traditional Bajan dishes, local confectionary and wines.

Tourism Development Officer with the Ministry of Tourism, Shanise Taylor, explained that the Expo would be a wonderful opportunity for the public to appreciate the local talent on the island.

"The Bajan Pride Expo started about three years ago in an effort to highlight local artisans and give them the opportunity to showcase their talents to locals and visitors alike. The showcase emphasises the linkages between various industries and tourism and brings community spirit to a central location, it truly illustrates the diverse talent that we have in Barbados," she said.

The all-day expo begins at 10:00 a.m.
