The Barbados Agency for Micro Enterprise Development Limited (known also as FundAccess) has advised that there will be a phased re-opening of its operations from tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

During this initial phase, there will be minimal staff in the office to facilitate limited transactions, and clients will only be allowed in to make payments using the lettering system.

The agency is encouraging members of the public to follow the recommended physical/social distancing protocols as well as wear masks, and utilize the sanitizing unit available at the entrance to its office located on Pinfold Road, St. Michael.

While the office will accept payments, clients are encouraged to continue using Surepay, or FundAccess’ online payment options. A drop box will also be available from Thursday, May 7, for the purpose of cheque payments.

Members of the public are further asked to note that applications may be made online using www.fundaccess.org, and any additional information may be obtained by using the email info@fundaccess.org.  However, no walk in interviews will be conducted.

FundAccess, which has been given the responsibility for administering the $20 million Small Business Wage Fund, recently announced by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley as a means to facilitate micro and small enterprises in this COVID-19 environment, has advised that queries on this initiative should be emailed to smewagefund@fundaccess.org

Further details regarding the application process for this new fund will soon be released by FundAccess.
