When the Hope Foundation hosts its garden party this year, it will do so under the patronage of Prime Minister, Freundel Stuart and at his official residence, Ilaro Court.

It comes off on Saturday, May 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The proceeds from the garden party will support ongoing programmes for lupus, sickle cell and arthritis.

Tickets for the event can be obtained from the Hope Foundation, located at No. 24 George Street/ opposite 8th Avenue Bellevile, St. Michael.?? Members of the public may also call the Foundation at 437-8781 to book tickets for the event, or e-mail hope@caribsurf.com

The Hope Foundation, was established in 1991 to raise awareness of "lesser known" diseases such as lupus and sickle cell. It also represents arthritic patients, many of whom are expected to benefits from the proceeds.

Over the years, it has presented a large amount of equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, particularly its Physiotherapy Outpatients’ Department.?? In 2008, approximately $10,000 in equipment was handed over by its President to Health Minister, Donville Inniss.
