Programmable Logic Controllers Course Starts April 12

The Barbados Community College (BCC), in conjunction with the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP), will conduct a Programmable Logic Controllers course beginning this Saturday, April 12, at the BCC.

The course is designed to enable industrial and manufacturing electrical or mechanical engineering technicians to programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

PLCs are at the core of the industrial machinery manufacturing process control systems and the main objective of this course is to give students hands on practice in writing and de-bugging PLC programmes.

Additionally, students will gain an understanding of how to troubleshoot PLC controlled systems. It is also expected that they will develop the ability to assess an existing manual process and write a PLC programme to automate it, thus creating an innovative automated solution to that process.

The course starts at 2:00 p.m. at the BCC, ???Eyrie???, Howells Cross Road, St. Michael.??For additional information please contact BIMAP or visit the BCC???s website, www.bcc.edu.bb.
