Heroes Day Lecture Next Week

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the Parliament of Barbados, will host the annual Heroes Day lecture on Thursday, April 24.

Principal of Queen???s College, Dr. David Browne, will examine the topic: What Really is a Hero Anyway???The lecture will be held in the Members??? Dining Room of Parliament, Bridgetown and it begins at 7:00 p.m. All are invited.

Swimming Pool Sanitation Course Begins In May

The Environmental Health Department of the Ministry of Health, will be staging a five-day training course in Swimming Pool Sanitation next month.

It will take place from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9, at the Environmental Health Training Unit, British American Building, Magazine Lane, Bridgetown, St. Michael, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day.??There will be a registration fee of $350.

Notice For Employers

Persons desirous of being excused from Jury Duty must do so in writing.??This was pointed out today by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.

Employers must submit a signed letter from their employee to Registrar of the Supreme Court indicating that they wish to be excused. No one shall be exempted without a signed letter.

The Registrar has thanked persons in advance for their kind cooperation on this matter.

Collection For Professional Registration Certificates

The Registration Department has advised that individuals who have not yet received their Professional Registration Certificate should collect them from the Department on White Park Road, St. Michael as soon as possible.??Certificates will not be posted.
