Sign Language Classes Begin Monday

Persons interested in learning sign language or improving their existing skills are invited to register for classes, which begin next Monday, April 7.

Coordinated by the National Disabilities Unit, the classes will cater to adult students at Basic I, Basic II and Intermediate levels at the Irving Wilson School, Pine Plantation Road, St. Michael.

The course, which will run for three months until Thursday, July 3, will be held twice a week ??? Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays ??? from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Fire Service Headquarters Closing Early On Friday

Members of the public are advised that the Administrative section of the Barbados Fire Service will be closed to the public on Friday, April 4, from noon.

The closure is to allow staff to attend the funeral of the late Acting Station Officer, Darcy Smith.??Any inconvenience is regretted.

Public Urged To Come Enjoy ???Ex In The City???

Members of the public are invited to bring their water, towels and friends, and come out and enjoy Ex in the City, next Monday, April 7.

The event, which is being sponsored by the Ministry of Health, will take place in Independence Square from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. It is being held to mark World Health Day.

Participants will have an opportunity to join in the tai chi warm up with Quasen Sealy; burn some calories in a Boot Camp session with Kenneth Griffith and Jasper Blades; and enjoy the aerobics and cool down sessions with Eareal Johnson.
