Brownes Beach Car Park Closed Temporarily

The National Conservation Commission (NCC) has advised that the Brownes Beach Car Park will be closed from Friday, April 29, to Tuesday, May 3.

The closure is to facilitate the setup of staging and other structures required for the hosting of May Day celebrations scheduled for Monday, May 2.??The NCC apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Rat Bait Distribution Saturday

The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will continue its campaign to reduce the rodent population on the island on Saturday, April 23, when free rodent bait will be distributed to the public at Jordan???s Supermarket, Speightstown, St. Peter.

Environmental health officers will be on site from 9:00 a.m. to noon providing free packets of bait, as well as educating the public on the importance of reducing rodents and eradicating diseases associated with leptospirosis.
