Roland Edwards Primary Marking 24 Years

Roland Edwards Primary School will be celebrating 24 years as a learning institution, at month-end.

The school located at Battaleys, St. Peter, will do so with a special celebration on Wednesday, April 30, beginning at 9:30 a.m.??

Under the theme: Excelling Through the Years with God???s Grace, students will perform various songs, poems and dances in tribute to their school???s contribution to quality education on the island.

Retired principal, Glendine Thompson and current Head, Michael Watson, will address the gathering of parents, teachers and children.??

Education Officer, Janice Reid, will bring greetings from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, while various religious affiliates of the school, including Pastor Edwin Bullen of Christ Is the Answer Family Church, will bless the institution.

Roland Edwards Primary was officially opened on April 27, 1990 by then Minister of Education, the late Cyril Walker.

Oral Hygiene Public Lectures

A lecture entitled Sleep Disorders and the Management of Snoring and Sleep Apnea, takes place tomorrow, Friday, April 25, at Hodgson Hall, Barbados Defence Force Headquarters, The Garrison, St. Michael.

Hosted by the Barbados Dental Association (BDA) and the Caribbean Dental Programmes Inc., it, will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The first presentation will be conducted by Dr. Shenuka Singh, who will speak about Preventable Oral Health Maintenance. Professor Timothy Roach, will deliver a presentation on Sleep Disorders from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m., while at 5:00 p.m. Dr. Robert Finkel, will speak about Dental Management of Snoring and Sleep Apnea.
