Refresher Training Course Offered For Community Development Aides

The Community Development Department has recently gained qualification and centre approval from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Council to offer the public the National Vocational Qualification (C/NVQ) in Information Technology.

And to ensure that the Department is able to do so, the Community Development Aides, who work in the resource centres, will participate in a refresher training course in Information Technology to prepare them to be assessed for the C/NVQ. This would allow them to better facilitate the process when the assessment is offered to the public.

The training will take place at the Deacons Resource Centre, Deacons, St. Michael, starting on Monday, April 27, between 10 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. It will continue on Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30, and then run from Monday, May 4 to Wednesday, May 6.??
