Media Interface On New World Anti-Doping Code

The Caribbean Regional Anti-Doping Organisation (RADO) will host a media sensitisation interface on Friday, August 22, to provide an update on the new World Anti-Doping Code.

The session will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott, Hastings, Christ Church at 9:00 a.m. and is scheduled to conclude at noon.

RADO representatives will address concerns associated with anti-doping and explain the implications of the new code to National Olympic Committees, the National Sport Federations and governments.

In addition, Friday???s session will see the launch of an Athlete Ambassador Programme, which is designed to strengthen RADO???s education initiative and encourage honesty among athletes.

Students Advised To Have SRLF Loan Applications In By September

Persons seeking loans from the Student Revolving Loan Fund (SRLF) for studies commencing in September 2014 are being advised to submit their completed loan application forms, with supporting documentation, before Tuesday, August 26.

According to an official from that department, applications received after that date will not be considered for the semester commencing September 2014.
