Christmas Luncheon For Senior Citizens Friday
Senior citizens from across the island will be feted in fine style later this week, when a luncheon is held in their honour.
The older persons, who were drawn from polyclinics across the island, will be treated at the Living Water Community Hall at St. David???s Church, located in St. David???s, Christ Church, this Friday, December 12, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.??
The event is being organised by the National Committee on Ageing.
BDF???S Carol Service Sunday
Barbadians are encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit and join the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) as it hosts a Carol Service, at St. Matthias Anglican Church, St. Matthias, Christ Church, on Sunday, December 14.
Members of the BDF will be carolling from St. Ann???s Fort, The Garrison, from 6:00 p.m. They will walk to St. Matthias Church, via Hastings Main Road, Hart???s Gap, 4th Avenue Hart???s Gap and St. Matthias Road.
Open Day At Valley Resource Centre Next Week
Students of the Community Development Department???s Valley Resource Centre will showcase their skills next week, when the Centre hosts an Open Day and Product Sale.
The event, which will come off next Wednesday, December 17, at the Centre???s Valley, St. George location, will offer manicures and pedicures at reasonable prices, as well as natural products like lip balms, creams and sugar scrubs.
It will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.??In addition, persons can learn about services being offered by the Centre and register for upcoming classes.
