Open Day Extravaganza At Eden Lodge

The Eden Lodge Community Centre, in St. Michael will throw open its doors to the public on Saturday, December 21, for an Extravaganza, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

There will be a variety of items on sale including toys, curtains, jewelry, and Christmas decorations, and aesthetic services will also be offered at reduced prices.

In addition, representatives from health organisations will be on hand to offer free blood pressure and cholesterol testing during the day.

Private Candidates To Write CXC Exams At Gymnasium

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation has advised that all private candidates will write the January 2014 examinations at the Wildey Gymnasium, Wildey, St. Michael.

Private candidates, who have not yet received their timetables for January 2014, are asked to collect a temporary one from the Examinations Department of the Ministry, located at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

Town Hall Meeting At The St. Michael School

The Ministry of Health is reminding parents that there will be a town hall meeting to discuss the Human Papillomavirus vaccine on Wednesday, December 18, at the St. Michael School, Martindales Road, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The vaccine, which prevents cervical cancer, will be introduced in January next year, to 11 and 12 year-old school girls ??? with the consent of parents.

Parents and guardians are urged to attend to have any queries regarding the vaccine addressed.
