Haynesville To Host Community Christmas Concert Tomorrow

Christmas cheer will be take centre stage tomorrow, Saturday, December 21, when the Haynesville district hosts the Ministry of Youth???s second Community Christmas Concert for 2013.

Being held under the theme, Sharing, Caring and Healthy Living this Christmas, the event will start at 5:00 p.m. at the Central Close, Haynesville, St. James.

Performances by community members will include dance, music, drama and spoken word.

In addition, there will be an HIV and AIDS sensitisation outreach commencing at 3:00 p.m. where patrons may receive HIV tests and information.

Persons are also invited to donate non-perishable food items to the food drive for the HIV Food Bank.

The final Community Christmas Concert will be held on Monday, December 23, at Jubilee Gardens, Bridgetown.

Christmas Sidewalk Exhibition and Arts Market

Christmas shoppers are invited to the Christmas Sidewalk Exhibition and Arts Market, taking place tomorrow, Saturday, December 21, at Heroes Square, The City.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the event will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.

Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase Barbadian art and crafts such as baskets, leather shoes, jewellery, locally made soaps and other items.

Artists selling work include Victor Collector, Ray Garnes and Omowale Stewart.
