St. John Candle of Hope Service This Sunday

This Sunday, December 8, the St. John HIV/AIDS Education Committee will host its 10th annual HIV/AIDS Candle of Hope Memorial Service, at the Holy Cross Anglican Church, Society Hill, St. John, at 4:30 p.m.

Persons attending the service are encouraged to wear red and bring a non-perishable item which will be donated to the HIV Food Bank.

St. Michael South Central Holding Bi-Annual Public Meeting

The St. Michael South Central Constituency Council will hold its first bi-annual public meeting next Wednesday, December 11, at the St. Michael School, Martindales Road, St. Michael, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Residents of communities within that constituency are especially invited to attend to hear about ongoing programmes and plans for future projects.

They will also be given an opportunity to discuss any issues which may be affecting their community.

Baxters Road Festival This Weekend

The Baxters Road Festival and Community Market will continue tomorrow, Saturday, December 7, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The event, which is organised by the City of Bridgetown Constituency Council, aims to promote small business development and assist in the revitalisation of Baxters Road.

During the day, there will be several items on sale including arts and craft, clothes, plants, food and drinks, and individuals from within the constituency will have their business services on display. Persons will also be on hand to conduct various health checks.

Members of the public are invited to attend.

All waiting jurors assigned to the No. 2 Criminal Court are asked to report for jury duty on Monday, December 9, at 8:45 a.m. instead of Thursday, December 12, as previously instructed.
