First World War CentenaryTo Be Commemorated

The Barbados Museum and Historical Society, in collaboration with the British High Commission, is embarking on an oral history project to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.

The project is designed to record and document information handed down from veterans of the First World War to their descendants.

The information will be used in the creation of a short educational documentary about the war.

Persons descended from a veteran of the First World War who have stories about their experiences in that conflict, are asked to contact the Barbados Museum and Historical Society at 427-0201, by Thursday, January 15.
