Labour Department Seminar On January 23

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote better labour/management cooperation, the Labour Department will host a seminar later this month to discuss pertinent legislation and industrial relations best practices.

It will be held on Thursday, January 23, on the 2nd Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

CAIPO To Host Training Seminar

The Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) will hold a special training session at its Baobab, St. Michael headquarters, on Thursday, January 16, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The meeting, which takes place on the ground floor in the St. Michael and St. Philip Rooms, is designed to sensitise persons about the range of corporate services which can be accessed electronically. Participants will also get the chance to review the options that will be available with the introduction of on-line filing at the Corporate Registry.

Registered agents, legal clerks, representatives of the Barbados International Business Association, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, the Bar Association, as well as interested members of the public are invited to attend.

Breeders??? Seminar and Recreation Day

Animal lovers are invited to a Breeders??? Seminar and Recreation Day at the Animal Control Centre, Lazaretto Compound, Black Rock, St. Michael, on Errol Barrow Day, Tuesday, January 21, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Dog owners are asked to bring along their canines and their picnic baskets for a day filled with entertainment and enlightenment. There will be a number of games, including dominoes, drafts, and cards, as well as groomers, trainers and veterinarians who will be on hand to offer their expert advice. Persons may also use the opportunity to get their dogs licensed.

The aim of the day is to provide networking opportunities, consultation and a chance for persons to forge personal linkages. The Breeders??? Educational Seminar will start at 1:00 p.m. and will feature presentations on different breeds of dogs. Additionally, there will be presentations on Pet Nutrition and Obedience/Protection Training.

Interested persons should note that there will be two basic requirements for participation ??? persons are expected to clean up after their animals, and dogs must be socialised and comfortable around people and other animals.
