Ministry Of Agriculture???s Plant Clinic At Flower Show

The Ministry of Agriculture???s Plant Protection Section will conduct a plant clinic at the Barbados Horticultural Society???s Flower Show on Sunday, January 26, at Balls Plantation, Christ Church, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Persons are asked to bring their plant samples with pests to be identified, as representatives from the Ministry will be on hand to answer any questions.??

African Cultural Expo Slated For February 1

Everyone is invited to SANKOFA IV ??? an Afrikan Heritage and Cultural Expo, organised by the Commission for Pan African Affairs??? SIRIUS programme, in collaboration with its Afrikan Heritage Magazine.

It will take place on Saturday, February 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Old Spirit Bond Mall, Bridgetown.

At the expo, patrons will get the opportunity to purchase African inspired books and art and craft, as well as relax in the Pop-Up Spa, enjoy various beauty remedies and be entertained by African films.

An authentic African cuisine restaurant will be on location, and there will be storytelling, and fun, self-esteem building activities for children. The work of Barbados Community College Fine Arts students will also be featured in an exhibition.

Admission is free. However, patrons are asked to bring non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the HIV Food Bank.
