Drug Service Lecture January 27

The Barbados Drug Service will host its first public lecture for 2015 on Tuesday, January 27.

Mr. Anthony Harris, Cardiac Surgeon and Director of Medical Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, will speak on the topic: The Prevention and Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis in Barbados.

The lecture takes place at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, at 7:00 p.m.

Changes For Incoming Parcels

Members of the public receiving parcels from overseas are advised that the green customer notification now has a 13-character alphanumeric bar code that can be used by senders and recipients to track the status of their parcels.

A statement from the Barbados Postal Service has advised that the use of the bar code meets the regulations of the Universal Postal Union, which oversees the Global Postal Network. It is also a requirement for all designated postal operators.

When a receipt of this notice is received, customers are required to present it with a valid form of picture identification to their delivery post office to collect the parcel.
