Change Of Venue For Town Hall Meeting

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation has advised that the Christ Church Foundation School will not be a venue on Saturday, January 11, for the town hall meetings on the Barbados Secondary Schools??? Entrance Examination 2014.

The meeting will now be held at the Church of God of Prophecy, Water Street, Christ Church (behind the Milton Lynch Primary School) and will start at 5.00 p.m. on that day.

The Examination Section of the Ministry has apologised for the inconvenience which the change in venue might cause to parents/guardians of children taking the examination on May 6.

Dress Code For Supreme Court And Registration Department

Members of the public visiting the Supreme Court Complex and the Registration Department on White Park Road, St. Michael, are reminded that a dress code is in effect.

Persons wearing blouses or dresses without straps; back out or belly out outfits; mini-skirts, halter tops, revealing tops or splits, jeans, shorts, slippers and curlers, will not be admitted into the building. Men are also reminded that they are not allowed to wear ear or body rings and shorts. In addition, their shirts must be neatly tucked into their trousers.

Members of the public are further reminded that all cell phones must be turned off on entering the building.

The public???s cooperation in this matter is appreciated.

Magistrates??? Court Relocation Notice

The District ???A??? Magistrates??? Court Criminal Courts No. 1 and 2 will be closed from Thursday, January 9, until Monday, January 13.

However, the two courts will re-open on Tuesday, January 14, at the Supreme Court Complex, White Park Road, St. Michael. Matters before Criminal Court No. 1 will be heard in the Atrium Room of the building, while Criminal Court No. 2 will convene in Supreme Court No. 3.

Any inconvenience this closure and relocation may cause is regretted.
