Presentation to Focus on E-Commerce

The benefits and challenges of e-commerce to the small business sector will be addressed, when the Ministry of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development and the Small Business Association (SBA) hold a members meeting on that particular topic.

It will take place on Tuesday, July 29, at Bagnall???s Point Gallery, Pelican Village, Bridgetown, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

E-Commerce Development Officer, Chesterfield Coppin, will be the presenter and the public is invited to attend.

FTC to Hold Outreach

As part of efforts to educate the public on its rights and responsibilities under the Consumer Protection Act, officers from the Fair Trading Commission will set up a booth in Shepherd???s Alley, Bridgetown (next door to Cave Shepherd), on Thursday, July 24, from 9:30 a.m. until 12: 30 p.m., to meet with consumers.
Staff will also answer any queries relating to utility regulation and fair competition, as well as disseminate educational material.

Director of Consumer Protection, Judy Maynard, will lead the outreach.
