St. Philip residents are encouraged to support the St. Philip Parish Independence Committee’s Community Quiz.

The quiz will take place on Thursday, June 18, at the Princess Margaret Secondary School at 7:00 p.m.

Discussion On Community Based Tourism

Members of the public are invited to the first in a series of discussions on Community Based Tourism, hosted by the St. Lucy Parish Independence Committee

Entitled: Come Let We Talk Community Based Tourism, the discussion takes place on Wednesday, June 17, at the Checker Hall Salvation Army, Checker Hall, St. Lucy, at 7:30 p.m.

The three-part series is aimed at educating residents on Community Based Tourism and its importance to the overall tourism product.??An officer from the Barbados Tourism Product Authority will be in attendance.

Archive Awareness Lecture

The Path and Future of the Barbados National Archive will be topic of discussion, when Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, Sir Hilary Beckles, delivers the annual Archives Awareness Lecture.

The lecture will be held on Monday, June 15, at the 3W???s Oval, University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, at 7:00 p.m.

The event is hosted by the West Indies Federal Archives Centre of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and the Barbados Department of Archives.
